Scholarships - BWLL

BWLL is committed to making sure every child can play baseball/softball, regardless their ability to pay. If you are struggling to pay for registration and, please contact us via email with the age and sport for each child, and amount your family can comfortably pay. Many generous local companies and individuals have donated money to be used for families in need. As resources are limited, we encourage all parents/guardians to utilize the T-Mobile grant when possible!

General Time/Expectations
This can vary by level and coach. The season begins in mid-April (weather/field depending) and runs through mid-June. Farm League teams generally practice 1 day per week and have 1 game on Saturday morning. Minor & Major League teams typically have 1-2 practices and 1-2 games per week.

Junior/Senior League starts in May and runs through June and has a mix of weekday & weekends practices and game.

You can look at last year's game schedules for a rough idea (subject to change).

Are there tryouts?
Little League is for all kids who want to play baseball and softball! Farm and minor leagues do not have tryouts, but players may attend a placement clinic.

Players who were on a major baseball team last year, and are still age-eligible will remain on the same team. Any players ages 9-11 who have not played in majors would need to tryout to be placed on a team at the majors level. Junior/Senior league players may have a placement day to create teams.

What does my child need?
BWLL provides game jerseys for all ages/divisions and players need to provide a glove (please let us know if you need one for your child).

Farm/Minor league only a glove is required. Cleats, pants, and equipment are optional, but must be LL approved.

Major/Junior/Senior league requires a glove, cleats, and pants. Bats, helmets catcher's gear, or other equipment is optional, but must be LL approved.

Other FAQs
The registration process is asking me to upload documents to prove my residence. What do I do?
This is optional. You do not need to submit any documents online. You can prove residency using a drop-down menu to select which school your child attends.

My child is homeschooled. How do I prove residency with the school drop-down menu?
Please select "Other" on the drop-down menu.

The system is telling me my child is 13 but he/she is actually 12. What's going on?
Due to Little League's restrictions on ages in certain leagues, your child's "Little League Age," based on their birthday for the upcoming season, might be different than their chronological age. You can read more about this and check your child's LL Age here. Note Little League age also differs between baseball & softball programs.
