BASEBALL TOURNAMENT TEAM UPDATES & ANNOUNCEMENT

Bangor West Little League (BWLL) is pleased to announce that we will be combining with Bangor East Little League (BELL) for our baseball tournament teams. Our tournament All-Star teams are competitive teams that play after the regular season ends. BWLL/BELL will field an 11-12, 9-10, and 9-11 team in 2022. To be considered for placement on a team, players will have a tryout (details below.)

Parents should be aware that participating as part of a tournament team is a significant commitment, and that not everyone who attends a tryout will make a team. Practices will be held multiple times per week leading up to the tournaments. The dates and locations for each of the three tournaments have not yet been finalized, but we will provide an update as we have more information, likely next week.

Tryouts will be comprised of two days/sessions per age group: one for 9-10 year old players and another for the 11-12 year old players. The first day will be a skills session with hitting, throwing and fielding stations. The second day will be a controlled scrimmage. Though times have not been finalized, please take note of the schedule below:

• Monday 6/13 at Bangor West Fields – skill stations
• 4:30 – 6:00 – ages 9/10
• 6:00 – 7:30 – ages 11/12
• Tuesday 6/14, 5:00-7:00 at Bangor West Fields – 9/10 scrimmage
• Wednesday 6/15, 5:00-7:00 at Bangor West Fields – 11/12 scrimmage
